Please make creating color schemes (and other key things) easier!!!

I wonder why both Apple and Micro(barf)soft keep ignoring the requests for making it easier to create great custom layouts; in this case I refer to color schemes. Adobe is awesome when it comes to creating templates, color schemes, swatch libraries, stroke libraries etc. So how come it must be so hard to create templates/masterpages in Pages etc?

Please, Apple, make it easier for us. Let us define a number of main and secondary colors, text colors, background colors etc. Let's get the necessary tools to collect and define swatches, line strokes etc in some sort of library that your software share - like Adobe does.

Apple is not attempting to compete with Adobe, nor has Pages ever been designed to compete with InDesign, Quark, Affinity Publisher, or provide additional features for professional users. It cannot even do CMYK without train-wrecking it into RGB. It is a free application and the only way Apple can keep it free is by targeting the consumer market.

Yes, you can send the Pages product team feedback, but they already have provided a means to create portable color sets (.clr) between Macs which I discussed in this previous post.

Hi daniel,

This is a user forum so Apple's attention here is minimal.

I suggest you go to Menu>Pages>Provide Pages Feedback and make your feature request. I can imagine there are others who could make use of what you are describing.

Don't ask for a compete Adobe InDesign solution. Just an easier way to work. :)

The awesome thing about Apples' product in general are their ease of use (in contrast to Adobe, one might argue). Having a simple way of doing template work would be good.

Sometimes, I let myself lapse into a dilusional state, and fantasize what Apple could really do with Pages if they set their mind to it. But that would require them to collaborate with, and actually listen to customer requirements, and then I wake up…
