Keynote Upgrade shows ongoing spinning wheel

I just upgraded my OS from Sierra to High Sierra on my Late 2011 13 Inch MacBook Pro. I tried opening my Keynotes and kept getting a message that I needed to upgrade. I am trying to download the newer Keynote but all I get is a spinning wheel from App Store. The serious problem now though is that I not only have a spinning wheel but can't access my Keynotes. HELP PLEASE!!!

Hello bbbjim,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities! I understand that after upgrading your MacBook Pro to macOS High Sierra, you're experiencing issues updating Keynote in the App Store. I would be happy to help provide steps to take so you can access your presentations again.

Are you able to update or download any other apps in the App Store? If you're encountering the same behavior with other apps, I would like to have you follow the troubleshooting steps in the support article below:

If you can't connect to the iTunes Store, iBooks Store, or App Store - Apple Support

If the issue is specific to Keynote, and the steps in the above resource don't help, you may want to try to delete and redownload Keynote next:

  1. How to delete apps on your Mac - Apple Support
  2. Redownload apps, music, movies, TV shows, and books - Apple Support

Take care.
