How long should it take to transfer my Iphone 11 Pro Max to Iphone 11 Pro Max?

I bought the Iphone 11 Pro Max 256GB just a week ago. WIthin the first two days I probably had 10 dropped calls, by day 4, I hardly had a signal and couldn't use internet or texts. Super frustrating after purchasing a brand new phone and taking hours to set it up.

They finally shipped me a new phone and I've been trying to transfer the phone onto the new one using wifi. It's been 4 hours and it still says its transferring. Is this normal? Please help.
