Try the fixes in this Apple document: If you can't print from your Mac or iOS device - Apple Support.

Most printers can have different types of drivers. Often, the operating system includes a basic driver that allows printing. You will need to install a more full-featured driver from the vendor to enable advanced printing capabilities.

However, each vendor, printer, and driver is different. There is no way to tell whether the software will work on new versions of the operating system. If it isn’t working properly, try to download the latest software from the vendor. You will need to delete the printer and re-add it. You will also need to make sure to select the appropriate vendor driver, not the built-in driver.

If none of that works, you will need to purchase a new printer with new software. Sorry, that’s just the way the market works.
