iMessage

I want to delete messages from my iPhone but I want them to appear on another device (MacBook pro). I want to save them, but no longer want them on my iphone. Thank you!

You are welcome. Did you switch to syncing Messages using iCloud? If you don't sync using iCloud, then you can delete from the phone and the messages will remain on the computer.

Yes. Right now all messages are on my phone and computer. If I delete on my phone it deletes on my computer. But! For years I could delete on my phone and it would remain on my MacBook Pro iMessages. I don’t know what happened 2 days ago to change this? Thank you Eric

If you are syncing messages with iCloud, if you delete them from the phone, they will delete from the computer. Do you see the messages on the computer?
