Cursor on iPads only moves left in Pages

Hello,

This is quite a strange dilemma. I just purchased a new 11 inch iPad Pro after using a 9.7 inch iPad Pro for about 4 years. On my old iPad with a Logic case keyboard recently in Pages the right cursor will only go left when it should go right. If I use the option key it will move one word to the right as expected. Now I set up my new iPad using a backup from the 9.7 and the problem is on both now. It works fine in all other apps. It’s only pages that this happens in. I’m wondering if I have mistakenly hit some setting. I can’t seem to find anything though. Any thoughts would be appreciated. By the way, I have tried deleting the app and reinstalling but the problem is still there.
