iPhone is disabled and I'm scared to restore it. It my not ask for my account, is it possible ?

please i need your help i bought a phone from a friend 5s he did sign out his account without reset so i created my on the phone and used unlucky for me the screen got broken after leaving it down for almost a year before replacing screen it says iphone is disabled connect to i tunes i tried that and it won't respond am scared if i restore it ..It my not ask for my account is it possible ?

If it is disabled, your only option is to restore it through iTunes on your computer. If your friend did sign out of his account, then it should not ask for his Apple ID and password. See here for help: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204306
