Apple Watch Series 5 Screen Not Turning Off on Wrist Down

I recently got the new Series 5. I have always on "Off". When I put my wrist down the screen stays on full power and I have to cover it to turn it off. If I do a hard reset it corrects the problem for a few hours but later in the day it goes back to not cutting off and staying on when wrist down.

Apple Watch not turning on when wrist raised i have series 2 watch - never had any problems but in the last 2 weeks it won’t turn on when I raise my wrist OR when I tap the screen. The only way to turn it on is if I press the button on the side so I have to do that, the come out of the app screen just to see the time. I have checked the wrist raise and orientation screens in the app (and turned them off and on again) and it is not in theatre mode - what can I do?

My new Apple Watch series 5 screen switches off, mostly when I go outside, but it won’t come back on until I take the watch off my wrist. Can anyone help? I am having problems with my brand new Apple Watch series 5. it’s switching off the screen and only comes on when I take the watch off
