Noise monitoring

Hello everybody.

My Apple Watch Series 4 (updated to the latest software version 6.0.1) seems to start the monitoring the noise level (and send reports in background to Health app on iPhone) only after I start the Noise App during a day. The day after, in order to start the background monitoring activity, I need to start again the Noise app.

I activated the Noise monitoring on Settings/Noise on both Apple Watch and iPhone app.

Is this behavior normal?

Thank you for your help

Thank you for your feedbacks.

Problem seems solved now: even if I do not open the Noise App manually, Apple Watch monitors the noise level in background and iPhone records it. I checked it during last days.

I don’t know if something happened after I put the noise level in the main screen as complication.

Anyway, it seems to run properly, now.

if the situation will remain as it is, I will close this post as “solved”.

Hi.

Thank you for your reply.

I checked the document: as far as I understand, the monitoring should always work when the function in activated.

I tested again on my Apple Watch today: I confirm that the “background” monitoring starts only after I open the Noise App on Apple Watch and the first measurement is done.

Could be a software bug?
