Hello jax192,
Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!
I see from your post that Pages is not opening when you try to opening it from the DashBoard or when you try to open a Pages document in Finder.
Have checked to see if Pages has an update?
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Pages? A safe way to do this is to place the Pages application into the Trash. Make sure that you do not empty the Trash.
Once Pages is in the Trash, follow these steps to from the article, Redownload apps, music, movies, TV shows, and books:
- Open the App Store on your Mac.
- Click the sign-in button
or your photo in the sidebar. Sign in with the same Apple ID that you originally used to purchase the item. - Find the app that you want to download.
- If you use Family Sharing, you can choose a family member's name next to "Purchased by" to see their purchases.
- Click the download button
for the app. Don't see the app that you purchased?"
Once Pages has downloaded again, try opening it to see if that solves the problem.
If the issue continues to persist after a fresh install of Pages, contact Apple Support.
I hope this information helps you!
Kindest Regards.
