Unknown app accessing the Camera? “com.apple.mobilesafari”

I have a regard for security on my phone so I am looking to see if the following app is a normal appearance in the Privacy > Camera settings area. Please view the uploaded screenshot with the highlighted title of the unknown safari app:

“com.apple.mobilesafari”

My best assumption is that it appeared after I viewed a website through an app’s native browser in iOS.

Can someone please explain if I should be concerned or not? I am certainly keeping it off, but does anyone know what app that is? Thanks!

iPhone X, iOS 13

Good afternoon bb_p,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

I understand you are seeing “com.apple.mobilesafari" in the Privacy > Camera settings on your iPhone. This is basically saying that a website through Safari tried to access the camera. As you stated "I viewed a website through an app’s native browser in iOS." Do you know which app/website it was? (Perhaps look in your Safari history). So there is no need for concern if you initiated that action. You will always be prompted whether to allow the Camera to be accessed or not.

Take care.
