Hi, I want to update my iPad 9.3.5.

I want to update my iPad 9.3.5. And it is no update in the settings on the iPad. I've tried to connect the iPad to my Mac OS Catalina but the iPad doesn't showed up on the in Finder on the computer. I really need to update it cause I can't download many apps like Spotify and Netflix because when I try it says "Can not buy. Spotify/Netflix is not compatible with this ipad. Pleace help

Personally, I wouldn't recommend updating to Catalina. Your iPad Mini 2 would need a large amount of spare space to download Catalina.

If expense is not too much of an issue, I would suggest moving up to a MacBook Air mid 2013 or later to accept Catalina. They are still available on eBay. You likely have a 1st gen iPad mini, not the iPad mini 2.


Your iPad is too old (from 2012), it cannot run anything newer than iOS 9.3.5, iOS 9 is also long outdated.


If you want to download those apps, you need to buy a new iPad first.
