email stopped work on new MacBook Pro
For what ever reason they both started working again. I manually shut off the computer instead of just closing the lid. I did a forced quit when shutting down.

Connection doctor says that the accounts are connected, but there are no emails in the inboxes onthe macbook pro.
They are there on iphone.
are these Exchange accounts?
There appear to be some conflicts between Catalina and exchange email accounts
one is exchange the other is gmail.
gmail is the same problem as exchange.
Try your free iCloud email account, and it should work fine.
