How to disable 4G and 3G?

in my area 4G and 3G connection is very poor. But i cant enable 2G only. The option is not there. Somebody please tell me how to disable 4G and 3G.

iPhone 6s Plus, iOS 13

You can disable 4G (LTE) in settings>cellular>cellular data options.


Whether you can disable 3G or not is up to your cellular carrier.

Most don't allow it as 2G (EDGE) networks are being shut down all over the world so the bandwidth can be used for higher speeds.


If the 3G signal is inadequate and 2G is available, the phone should automatically fall back to 2G.
