Adjust audio ducking in Photos slideshow

I want to keep the music backing at the same level for photos and video in a Photos slideshow. My videos have no audio on them but Photos is reducing (ducking) the level of the music while the videos play and I want to stop that.

I can control it in iMovie but that reduces the resolution of the photos and it is mainly a photo slideshow with a couple of very short old videos with no audio.

Any advice appreciated.

Your thought of using iMovie to control the audio is a good one. iMovie does not reduce the resolution of photos and videos imported into it. You also can export out at high quality and resolution settings, up to 4k. You must first set the project at a high resolution before you can export at a high resolution. iMovie sets the project resolution at that of the first video clip (not photo) placed in a newly created project. You can thereafter delete the video clip without affecting the resolution that you set. So, for example, if you have 4k photos you need to insert a known 4k video as the first clip inserted into the project. That will set the project at 4k and you can export it at that. As I said, you can later delete this video. A 5 second 4k video clip created on your iPhone would suffice for the purpose.

Your call, of course.
