You're already an apple music member when trying to play Apple Music

Well this is annoying. Trying to listen to music with an individual Apple Music membership that has been active for years after just updating iPhone with 13.2 update. I get the message "You're already an Apple Music member." with an OK button. Clicking just returns me to the where I was with no change.

Went to Settings-->Music and it has the "Join Apple Music" link like it thinks I'm not a member anymore. Click that and it opens Apple Music and then I am stuck in the same loop again.

I did a hard reboot, etc. Don't want to log out of iCloud and back in if I can avoid it.

Anyone else seeing this or know of a quick resolution that does not require a log out of iCloud?

Found same issue on another recent thread and posted the following there after I managed to get it working without having to logout or reset. This was the solution to my particular variation of this issue:

Just got it working on mine. Since I had been listening to Apple Music on the Apple Watch while it was updating to 13.2, I went back to listen to it on the watch since the phone wasn't working. Surprisingly I was able to do that. Then I wondered if the watch connection was somehow interfering with the phone connection to Apple Music.

I did a hard reboot on the watch and while it was offline I went back to my phone and tried Apple Music. Voila, it started working again without me having to log out of iCloud, etc. I also checked settings and it no longer had the "Join Apple Music" link.
