Homepod is not reseting

Hey.

My HomePod is not responding to reset command. After I plug in the device I wait 5 sec and I press the turning white light that is turning red for 3 seconds and after that, whit my finger still pressing it’s turning white again and nothing happens.

Pls Help!

From HomeKit it is removed already and from iCloud also.

yes mine is bricked too. Update happened and then no access to Apple Music. Tried resetting and now stuck in a white circle loop where the reset won’t go through. Circle goes red for a few moments and then reverts to white. So basically a door stop now. Seems

to be a massive widespread issue. Massive thread building over on Reddit. Don’t know what to do but looks like Apple have broken many of these and they may need replacing unless the reset miraculously works at some

point but having now tried dozens of times that looks unlikely. The QA is so poor these days!

It's not a hardware problem. Apple's HomePod QA department failed to catch this major bug which should have been found during a basic check before firmware or operating system releases. Any HomePod user with 13.2 will have a bricked speaker which is stuck in a software loop if they remove the HomePod from the Home App or reset the speaker. That's why Apple silently pulled the update without public acknowledgement and nonchalantly updated their support page. However, they've not done anything to let everyone know that is on 13.2 to not perform the normal steps of troubleshooting their speaker if they experience any problems. This would have helped those with 13.2 installed to not remove it from the app or reset their speaker. So, this non-user recoverable software bug requires that the speaker to be replaced via shipping it back to Apple. Thus you're not going to get a replacement for at least a week. You can almost forget in-store because their small supply will be depleted from this ridiculous miss by QA.
