Can you trade in AirPods for AirPods Pro?

It depends on when you purchased your AirPods 2. If you want to return them then you would have had to have purchased the AirPods 2 within 14 days, but as far as trade in like a device you are unable to do that with AirPods.

You cannot trade in any types of AirPods for the next pair. You can sell them third party but there is no way to do a trade in. Apple just does not do that.

I bought mine exactly a month ago. Reached out to them and was told I can't trade in nor return it.
