iMessage and FaceTime

The iMessage and FaceTime number is different to the one I'm using and it won't let me remove it and put my proper number in. So when I txt people they don't know who it is.

I had a new phone through sky and got a new number but I wanted to keep my old number so I got the PAC code and once I entered the new sim in my new phone I put the PAC code in and it took 2 days to transfer over all was good except the iMessages and FaceTime. Every one can message me on the old number and ring me on the old number it just happens when I txt them.

It wont let me remove the new number as it it shaded grey

can anyone please help before I go to the Apple Store

Hello Tan05,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. I understand that the phone number in iMessage and FaceTime is showing different from yur phone number. Your friends and family can contact you at your phone number but when you send an iMessage or FaceTime them, it shows the temporary number you had prior to your phone number porting. I’m happy to help.
