Yes. I actually figured it out. After hitting play, scroll yp and you see another play button to press. Why two play buttons? No clue. Either did the sales associate at the store
Yea. tried several replacements, all with the same results. Im starting to believe that there must be some kind of light coating on the tip the deteriorate after a short period of time.
my AirPods Pro generally dont show good seal on normal use, but if I press in when running the fit test they do. If it is a hardware flaw, wouldnt it never work?
It is very irritating that Durell at the Atlanta Lenox Apple store Genius Bar made no offer to replace ear tips -- . said that if the EarPods conveyed sound, then the EarPods were working and he could do nothing to satisfy my complaint. Then is when I asked for a refund. Now wondering if new ear tips would have worked as meant to!
ih, the Apple store manager indicated he would have offered to refund my money even though I purchased them in November.
only problem was I didn’t purchase through Apple, I bought at At&T corporate store and there return ended on day 14 of ownership
One day after cleaning out the insides of the ear tips and the fit test working, its not working again. I can’t believe that much gunk got in there in one day. I also dont understand if having pristine ear tips effects the seal or just how the fit test functions. I dont notice any difference in sound or ANC whether the fit test works or not. But, it would be nice if it was consistently working as designed.

Ive had similar issue with fit test initially showing good seal and then not. Had AirPods pro replaced and also tied new tips. Same pattern repeats.
Something like an initial “stickiness” wearing off is my best guess, as well. Only a guess. Both in store and phone support didnt have any ideas about the issue.
Same issue, worked great and tested / paste first evening. Then left ear test would fail. Now right ear is failing. Sounds great though so not sure what’s going on
Same here. Worked fine first few days, now fit test fails both ears.
I only see one play button. Do you still see the second button with the latest firmware?
Not only is the fit/dont fit weird, I don’t notice any difference in sound whether I get a good fit or not.
