Emails continue to go to Junk folder

Here’s an issue I’ve been having. On my iPhone 8 Plus for the last month emails I get from Amazon, Bed Bath Beyond & and a few others keep going into my Junk Folder.

I keep Googling the problem repeatedly and I get three answers.

1. From the Junk Folder, forward the email back to IN box.

2. From the Junk Folder select “Mark as Not Junk”

3. Put the senders address in your contacts.

I have tried ALL of the three fixes at least a dozen times each but it doesn’t stop them from going into the Junk folder.

Think about it and if you have an idea let me know.

Thank you for trying those steps and getting back to us, mary2stan. It's appreciated. Since you're still having the problem, however, I have more recommendations.

If you can’t send or receive emails on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch -- Even though you're able to receive emails, you're not receiving them correctly. This article has somethings for you to check and something for you to try.

Scroll down to "Check your Mail settings". On your phone, go to Settings > Passwords & Accounts, then tap the account. Tap your email address next, then tap "Advanced" at the bottom of the following screen. Check the mailbox behaviors making sure none of your email is being directed to your Spam/Junk folder.

If your Mailbox Behaviors are correct, log into your email provider's webmail site and see if you're finding your junk mail in the same folder as you're finding it on your phone. If they're there, the issue is on your email provider's side. Mark the email as “Not junk" and move it to the inbox. Do this for each different emails you've received and see if the issue's resolved.

Get back to us when you're able, please.

Cheers!

Hi there, mary2stan.

I see that emails you've always received have started going to the Junk folder in the Mail application on your iPhone. Good job on the troubleshooting you've tried, and I'm glad to help.

Change common iPhone settings --  Go to Settings > Passwords & Accounts, and turn off Mail for the account. Then restart your iPhone Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Once your phone is back to the Home screen turn on Mail in the account again and see if they'll be marked as read when you open them.

Add an email account to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch -- If they’re still not being marked as read, go to Settings > Passwords & Account. Tap the email account you're having the issue with, and tap "Delete Account" at the bottom of the next screen. Then restart your iPhone again. Once you're back to the Home screen this time, re-add the account and test.

Delete built-in Apple apps on your iOS 12, iOS 13, or iPadOS device or Apple Watch -- If the issue persists, delete and restore the Mail application and test once more.

Let me know how that goes, and take care!
