Voicemail not working after 13.2 update

Hi!


Yesterday I got a tariff upgrade (O2) and also downloaded the new iOS 13.2 update.

Now my visual voicemail has stopped working. Not only that but if someone calls my voicemail and leaves me a message, if i try calling my voicemail it says I have no new messages (I've tried this myself and the tester message I left myself is not there).


I've tried switching air plane mode on/off, I've hard re-booted the phone several times and I've re-set the network settings and nothing has worked. (In fact whenever I hard re-boot the phone, I constantly get a notification pop up saying I have a new voicemail, but alas I cant access it at all)


I phoned my carrier (O2) this morning and they checked everything their end and seem to think everything is set up ok, which now leads me to the iOS update as potentially being the problem.


Anyone else had this issue at all? Is it an iOS issue or a carrier issue?

Its ok - I have it sorted - Carrier issue!


Unfortunately the chap I spoke with at O2 clearly didn't have any tech experience and didn't check that the iData Bolt on had been enabled when I specifically asked him to check this!


Finally got through to a Guru who checked and confirmed this was the issue

I actually told him to check the iData bolt on after seeing in on various O2 forums as an issue and he went off and said “yes all fine” (I wasn’t convinced!)


I spent 30 mins on the phone to Apple checking everything to be sure it wasn’t their end, then phoned O2 back and this time the person put me through to one of their Gurus. Once I told her what I thought it was she checked and said I was absolutely right and got it sorted there and then.


Frustrating to have to waste so much time in the first place though isn’t it?
