Airpod notification sounds are way too loud

Hi - I have 2nd generation Airpods. Phone calls and media play at a proper volume, but notifications (texts, emails, calendar reminders) come in excruciatingly loud. I have tried to mess around with volume settings, but it only changes media and not notification volume. Please help. Thank you.

Good afternoon g33,

I understand the volume for notifications is too loud on your AirPods. You can adjust the volume of the tones separate from the music on your iPhone. This will carry over to your AirPods. Here's how:

Change iPhone sounds and vibrations - iPhone User Guide - iOS 13

Once you have reduced the volume for Ringers and Alerts and turned off the Change with Buttons option, restart your iPhone.

Then, try resetting your AirPods

Reset your AirPods

Take care.
