Apple mouse (model A1657), wireless, no batteries, is not turning on

My apple mouse was charged due to low batter and when I came to connect it back, there is no green light blinking, my mac does not recognize or can find it, it seems completely "dead." It has an internal battery so therefore, battery change is not the answer.
