So today I decided I wanted to buy a subscription for Spotify, but I needed to add my debit card so I can pay. As usual, it accepted my debit card. But as soon as I bought it, I got an error saying “Your payment method is not valid in this store. Please enter a new payment method.” What do I do?

Sorry for not replying yesterday. Yesterday, I called my bank and they told me that my card was blocked for online purchases due to fraud. They fixed it, and just recently I paid for Premium. Thank you!

contact iTunes Support. Either use the form or scroll to the bottom of the page in the 2nd link. Follow through the screens to get a chat or telephone option.
That's a pain! Sounds like it could be a Spotify payment issue. Does Apple Pay work for other purchases using that card?

Well, this looks like it could be the cause. This from Spotify says it has been discontinued for new subscribers.
Maybe I am missing something. Here's what I understood you said you were doing, correct me where I'm wrong or help me fill in the blanks.

I don’t think Spotify is the problem. My friend is also having this issue, even though he doesn’t pay for Spotify. I think its something wrong with Apple’s system.
