bootcamp 6.0 .... 2013 mbp question

Hello,

i've been on BootCamp5.1.5640 for the longest time, and today out of nowhere, apple software update showed me an update for itself, and after doing the update .... it is showing me that Bootcamp 6.0 is available for download.

based on what I know, Bootcamp 6 is not really new.

So i'm wondering why I'm being shown this update, and whether it's good to download it or not ?

I don't have any issues in Windows 10 with my current setup, but then again ... my installed version of bootcamp control panel cannot see my apfs partition .... maybe 6.0 can ...

any tips on this would be helpful, thanks
