Thunderbolt port in late 2012 iMac

It looks like after I upgraded the ram from 8 to 16gb and the Hdd to SSD my USB ports at the back are not supporting external Hdd or to charge my iPad or iPhone yet it is able to charge my smart watch. I don’t understand why this is happening although I did SMC PRAM and all of the subjects mentioned in order to retrieve USB ports back. I take this as a loss and am trying to find a solution. Would thunderbolt port work as a usb? Meaning if I would Find a usb hub connecting to a thunderbolt port in my A1418 iMac can I use the USB ports on the hub (so far I couldn’t find such a gadget as well, that might be the answer :))? If not without replacing the logic board what advices would you give? Thanks

Here is the system information;

iMac 21.5", macOS 10.15

Hi,

Then it is possible that the USB connectors would be something wrong, though 4ports disable at the same time is unthinkable.

I found Thunderbolt to USB3.0 and eSATA adapter which could works with your iMac.
