Audio effects not audible

When I apply an audioeffect to a clip in the timeline, the clip is not audible when playing back. After removal of the effect ( voiceover correction for example), the sound is back during playback. I am using surround sound dialogue pan. Has that something to do with the problem ?

I am using Mojave, but the problem already existed with High Sierra.

Motion 5.6 audio clip cuts the first second or two before it starts playing the sound I saw this question asked a few years ago but didn't see a resolution. This is very basic. I have added an audio clip to my project, and wherever i start playing, it takes 1-2 seconds before the sound is heard. And when i export a movie file, that means the first 1-2 seconds of the sound at the beginning of the movie can't be heard. The audio clip is fine since i can import it into FCPX and it works fine. I'm running Monterey 12.0.1 on an iMac pro with plenty of horsepower (3 GHz 10-Core Xeon W, 64 GB ram). Any help would be most appreciated.

No audio when prev/ next frame tabbing? Dear Community, I recently upgraded to FCP 10.6.1. System macOS Monterey. I like to edit with audio skimming off. I used to be able to tab left and right on my keyboard within a timeline and get sound. For example, when looking for the first frame of a beat in a music track. When I do this now, there is no sound? Any ideas why this would suddenly stop? I have tried everything. Hope you can help. Many thanks, ejhbarratt

iMovie cutting out audio Hi guys. In certain clips of my project, audio cuts off at the end for some odd reason. i play the file outside of iMovie and can hear everything just fine. Does anyone know how to fix this because it seems I have tried everything from changing the video file from mp4 to .mov or adjusting the volume as well.

The first thing to try is reset the FCP X preferences.

Hold Option-Command as you launch FCP X.

This resets FCP X to default and does not delete anything.

You may see a file with a tar.gz extension on your Desktop.

This contains some settings for an easy restore if required, otherwise it can be deleted.
