Hi. I have an iPad Pro with iPadOS. I want to be able to seamlessly read and write to a NAS. I can connect and read files on my WD Mybook live but it’s clunky and I don’t think I can write to it.
is it possible to both read and write to a NAS easily and can anyone recommend a NAS that does this well? Thank you

in this case you try to acces thru wifi or with the usb c cable in the iPad pro? for me the question is or this wil work. ethernet thru usb c and than see the nas as an hdd? does it work that way? acces on your wifi network should work if you acces the nas (server) if it as a correct smb version. but with cable would be better! so my question is, do you set connection thru wif or with cable??

Hi. I access my current NAS thru SMB using wifi, not by cable.
And did you try with cable?
No because I keep my NAS in a different room than I work. If I can’t connect wirelessly, it won’t meet my needs.
Wow, realy not handy. So i guess ill keep my macbook instead sell it en buy 2 ipadpro, and with a new nas i want to buy a have to select one with the correct diskformat. Thanks for your input.
I used to have a similar issue when i first got a MacBook Pro. I could read, but not write.
It ended up being because the NAS was originally formatted to NTFS. I have to copy everything off, onto several external HDD's, reformat the NAS to ExFAT, and then it worked as Read and Write.
