Conflicting answers found on the internet, could someone who actually knows please help answer this question...... We have Amazon Prime now and an Amazon Fire TV. If I purchase an Apple TV 4K device will I be able to watch my extra paid subscriptions from Amazon, for example Gold Rush, rented movies, on an Apple TV device? Yes I knowI can watch Amazon Prime but it is the paid movies or series I am concerned about. Thanks you in advance...........
You will be able to access these additionally purchased Amazon movies and shows through the Prime app on the Apple TV set-top box (or other device with that app), but you can’t add new titles (purchases) to your account through the app. That functionality is not included in the app, intentionally. You’ll have to do that on a computer or other device. [It has to do with a percentage for Apple on in-app purchases that Amazon isn’t willing to.]

From what you said if I add it on a computer/purchase it will then show up on the Apple TV app. Yes I understand, it all has to do with the almighty dollar. My fire tv box is 3 years old and doesn’t allow downloading the Apple TV app. So deciding on buying a new Fire box or Apple box.
