Black lines on photos with bright light - iPhone XS Max

Hello everyone,

When taking pictures with direkt sunlight, some strange lines (horizontal and vertical) appear near the sun. They look like a hashtag (#).

Does anyone else has this problem?

Hello galileo01,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities for help with the camera. I'm happy to offer some information.

What you are experiencing is expected behavior when a lens has a bright light in frame. This link has great information and links to other articles to help you find the best camera mode for different scenarios, as well as how to take the perfect photo: Apple Photography

Thanks and have a wonderful day.
