IOS 13.2 Severe Battery drain when i-messaging

I did the latest IOS update(13.2) on October 31 in the evening. On Friday, November 1, I noticed rapid battery drain when texting with friends. I would send a text message and battery level would drop by 4%. In the space of one hour, battery went from 90% to 28% just through text messaging! This happened again Saturday and again today on Sunday, November 3. I have closed off Location Services, Background Refresh, etc. but no matter what, battery continues to drain rapidly. I contacted Apple Support and apparently, I am not alone - lots of users having the same issue. Apple Care took control of my phone; the battery is in good working order - definitely not a hardware issue but software issue. I have instructed all of my friends to NOT update to IOS 13.2. Apple had better get the technicians working on this issue sooner than later; this is not acceptable!

Same here. This kind of update is ridiculous! My phone were 100% battery in the morning and just some normall texting and a less than 30 minutes instagram scrolling and my battery just drop by 60% within 3 hours! It is very unacceptable, Apple, please fix this vital and crucial issue as battery life comes before any other new bs features.... stop adding on all kinds of new features and START FIXING THE BATTERY DRAINING ISSUE NOW before any of the new features. Apple will lose most of the customer if nothing has been done to the battery draining issue.....no joke
