Hi all, I recently upgraded phones and there was an app that I had on my old phone that is no longer available on the iTunes store. I tried doing a full backup (from my old phone) and restore (to my new phone) but it wants to get the app from the store, but since its not available it cant.
Is there a way to transfer the app via the cloud or something?

Hi Chris, I updated from 6s to 11. The reason the app is no longer on the App Store is that the developer is no longer developing, so has not renewed the development licence. I spoke to Apple support and they wasted my time back and forth, waiting on hold to finally say it’s not possible unless the developer renews their license.
I am the developer and I won’t be renewing my license.
What phone did you update from? It is very possible that the app you were using was a 32-bit app that will not work on the newer iPhones, and the developer did not update it, that is probably why it is not in the App Store.
