how can I turn off the trackpad click sound MacBook Pro mid 2014

According to https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204352 it says "On Mac notebooks made before 2016, you can turn off the sound of your trackpad's click by selecting Silent clicking."

I do not see this option in the trackpad settings in osX 10.13.6

MacBook Pro 15", macOS 10.13

Silent clicking is supposed to be under Point & Click of Trackpad Settings, right? See my screenshot, it’s not there. Am I looking in the wrong place?

What happens if you Select "Tap to click," this allows for a slight touch and requires no hard click.

from the help menu:

Silent clicking

Select this option to turn off the clicking sound on a Force Touch trackpad.

Do you have a "Force Touch" trackpad?

I guess it probably doesn't have a force trackpad. I tried the "Tap to click" and a tap click doesn't make a sound but when doing a click and drag it makes the sound.

Thanks for the quick replies, I guess it's just not really going to be an option for me on this computer. It's just irritating to listen to in a super quiet room, knowing that it would work just as well without the constant clicking sound.
