3 sections in header and/or footer

Hey Everyone,

The manual says about header and/or footer: "In the Move the pointer over the top or bottom of the page until the three header or footer fields appear. Then click in one of the fields (you can combine the three fields in any way into the desired header or footer)."

But I just want 1 big field, not 3 fields. Or 3 fields that I can type over. Can somebody help me with this please? I searched and I searched and... :-)

Thanks!

Kind regards,

Chantal

Pages v5 through v8.2 have the tripartite headers and footers. Designed into the application and only one thing you can do if you want a single header or footer field. In the Documents panel, suppress header and/or footer.

Insert a single row, single column table and format it to the width of your document. Add content, remove grid and boundary lines, position it, and then from the Arrange menu : Section Masters : Move Objects to Section Master. Now you have your single segment header/footer that is forced into the document background on every page of that section.

This would export nicely to PDF, but I have my doubts that it would travel well in an exported Word document, or ePub.
