Airpods 1-gen one-ear connection problem(iOS 13.2)

Hello!

After update my iPhone 8 Plus to iOS 13.2 my 1-gen Airpods stopped working normally. I have two problems:

  1. My left ear stopped playing at all.
  2. On my iPhone there is no connection status pop-up when I'm opened my Airpods case

I already tried to re-connect my Airpods, but this did not worked.

Any suggestions?

Hi RSolod,

Thank you for contacting Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it seems like there is trouble with the iPhone pairing with the AirPods and one of them won't play sound. There are a couple things you can try that may be able to help. I would recommend you use this article to help troubleshoot the issue.

  1. "Make sure that your iOS device has the latest version of iOS. Your device needs to have iOS 12.2 or later. If you have AirPods (1st generation), your device needs to have iOS 10 or later.
  2. Learn what to do if only one AirPod is working.
  3. Open Control Center and make sure that Bluetooth is on.
  4. Put both AirPods in the charging case and make sure that both AirPods are charging. Learn what to do if your AirPods or case won't charge.
  5. Make sure to select your AirPods as your audio device.
  6. Close the lid, wait 15 seconds, then open the lid. The status light should flash white, which means that your AirPods are ready to connect.
  7. If your AirPods don't connect, press and hold the setup button on the back of the case. Hold the setup button until you see the status light flash white, then amber, and then flash white continuously.
  8. Open the case—with your AirPods inside—and hold it next to your iPhone.
  9. Follow the steps on your iOS device's screen.
  10. Test your AirPods. If you still can't connect, reset your AirPods."

Can you also fix the issue where my Airpods 1st Gen always disconnects with my device?

left airpod lasts 40secs and the right airpod lasts 3mins. Both have full battery as well as the charging case. It also has the latest firmware 6.8.8 and my device has ios 13.2.

I saw a lot here having the same issue but it seems there is no fix.

Did a lot of troubleshooting but it didn’t work.

Please help.
