Common problems after update...

tl:dr im getting a badge notification on apple store app on my iphone 8 after ios13 update... is there any actual configuration fix for this or just stab in the dark or reset my device to clear this crap?

I dont get how everyone in the apple community finds it acceptable that the answer to frequently occurring problems after iOS version updates is “reset your device” or some other bs wipe/reset. Why do I have to go to that length to fix things that get jacked up EVERY TIME.? Why cant apple mobile developers just DO A BETTER JOB at coding these updates? I mean... the biggest dot release features are something like moving some autobrightness setting into a new menu buried under Accessibility instead of *derp* leaving it under display and brightness... that’s all they ever do, just shift settings around and break my OS so im forced to reset and redo my configurations every couple of months. They jack up idevice prices and add dumb foo foo features but not any real gamechangers, screw up legacy phones by pushing bad update packs... any wonder profits are dipping.

That is the App Store, not the Apple Store. The App Store app provides you access to the App Store, where you can download apps, as well as app updates. The Apple Store app allows you access to online shopping for Apple products.

If you are seeing a badge notification on the App Store app, I'm guessing that you could have an app that has been updated. If you open the App Store and there is an app to be updated, you would click on your profile picture in the upper right corner, just above the Today photo. That will show you a list of your recently updated apps as well as any that are in need of updating. It also shows places for you to access your Apple ID login, your Purchased history, and other links.

Lol thanks for the completely useless help; typical apple forum assumption the user is a moron and hasnt done the absolute basic function first to help themselves. Have you not even read my OP? I updated all apps, closed the app store, rebooted phone, logged out of itunes and back in again after a reboot, yadda yadda yadda. The only thing i have not done is reset my phone, which im not doing. So again, unless there is some configuration trick i have not tried, guess im SOL.
