hello and thank you for contacting apple support communities. This is likely a scam please DO NOT press the link as it will probably put a real virus on your device. If you notice your device acting strange or such take it to a apple store or contact apple support.
I really hope that I was able to help you , have a great rest of your day.
The pop up scam that says your battery is damaged. You don’t want to click on the link and it is difficult to close the app. It disrupts whatever you are doing.
It needs to be fixed. Another person, and some websites, say it is best to have it removed at an Apple store. That is very inconvenient.
There's nothing to fix.
If its a browser popup that keeps popping up , you can force close the browser:
If its just a web page like the picture posted timamc in the thread you replied to, you can just tap on the icon with the 2 squares on the bottom right of the browser and then swipe the card up and off the screen to close it.
Neither option requires you to go to the Apple store. And there's nothing for Apple to directly fix either about it. They are scams, you can easily get rid of them. There's no way to directly block them as you would be blocking other popups that may be required in other sites you are visiting.
That's a scam. Ignore it; there's no malware to remove.

Thank you so much!
So I've got to drive 65 miles to an Apple store to get this fixed.
Isn't there something I can do on my own?
Get what fixed?
There are no known viruses that can affect an iPhone.
OK. Thank you.
