iPhone Screenshot - line at the bottom!

So the line at the bottom of the screen (almost like a horizontal line home button) has been getting in the way of all my screenshots. I know I can crop it out, but a lot of the time doing so will also crop out something important too. At least for me. When I screenshot with assistive touch, the assistive touch button doesn’t show, but of course this line still does. Is there a way to get rid of this line, or at least not have it appear in screenshots??

I attached an example of what I’m talking about, I used four red arrows to indicate what I’m referring to.

Thank you so much! If this can not be fixed, is there a way for me to email or contact Apple to put in this suggestion/request?

Awe, that’s kind of disappointing. Definitely makes sense though! I still feel like it would be great if it would at least disappear for screenshots, but stay there for its original function if it’s helpful to others. ☺️

That line at the bottom is to remind you where the area is to use like the home button and where to swipe up from. In certain apps it is always there. You can provide feedback to Apple if you wish to show a change, but that has been there since the home button was removed. The feedback link is here, Feedback - iPhone - Apple

hello, thank you for contacting apple support communities. Try restarting your phone and see of this helps if not I would recommend contacting apple support directly. To restart your phone do the following:

Iphone without home button: hold the power button and the volume up button at the same time until a different screen appears then slide to power off note: do not hole the buttons for a long time or you will trigger emergency call

Iphone with home button: hold the power button as well as the home button until the apple logo appears.

That is not going to have any affect. That line will remain, it is the indicator for the home button area to swipe up on the iPhone X and later series iPhones.
