Screenshot gets stuck since last version of OS X and is still broken in Catalina

Right now while writing this there is a white square where the screenshot was suppose to have been taken and the rest of the screen faded. The screenshot never gets made and I have to restart to clear the problem. I would love to send a screenshot but uhhhhh....cant due to the program not re-opening.

Do not call that number that Alica224 posted. SCAM. You are supported here by fellow users.


When you get that white residual square after screen shot, just press the escape key to dismiss it, or on the left end of the Screen Shot panel, there is a circle-x — click that.


Before you capture a Screen Shot, click on its Options menu and choose the destination of the capture. Typically, this is the Desktop.
