I am getting an error report when I try to add a yahoo email account to my MacBook Air. It says that it could not connect to this SMTP server or IMAP server. How do I solve this problem? Please and thank you.

From what I've read and understand is that you're unable to set up your Yahoo email using the Mail app. I'd be glad to help you with this. Are you using the automatic setup or are you entering the details manually? Add or remove email accounts in Mail on Mac If you're setting up manually, check to make sure email provider settings are accurate: Mail Settings Lookup I would try setting up both methods just in case.
How is your internet connection? Are you able to access the website without issues? Try another Wi-Fi network if possible. This may be an issue on Yahoo's side, if the email service is temporarily unavailable, you may encounter errors like this.
