Sony HLG2 BT2020 vs 709 Color Mode

I know this question is asked a lot lately, but why can't I get HLG2 Color Mode 709 to work in FCPX version 10.4.6 with Mac OS High Sierra v 10.13.6?

I can however import HLG2 color mode BT 2020, thats works fine in a Rec 709 colorspace.

I've tried working in wide Gamut HDR, setting my playback to show HDR as raw values, changing the events to wide Gamut and the clip setting to both rec 709 and 2020, I'm out of ideas.

To be honest I'll probably record in BT 2020 anyway but it would be nice to know why.
