Erroneous Message on Apple Watch to enter Apple ID password to "complete(unknown) purchase"

Hi,

A persistent message to sign in with Apple ID on my wifesApple Watch Series 5- No purchases were made and I can't cancel it. It reappears over and over thereby taking over the Apple Watch!

Hopefully you can help me,

On your wifes phone go into her profile page and sign out at the bottom of the screen then sign back in again.This should pass the signed in info to the watch and hopefully stop asking for your password.
