Top results in apple music

Hi,

I updated to Catalina yesterday, and am having trouble with Apple music. When I was searching for music in the past, e.g. a song, i found hundreds of results. Now, I am only getting three soup results, even for a generic search term like 'country music' which is ridiculous. (see screenshot). Any idea how I can get more choices in mud search results and not only 3 THREE! top results?

But your screenshot clearly shows that you are searching for results from Apple Music (the service). (Thanks Apple for making this all more complicated than it needs to be.) Choose Your Library or iTunes Store for results from those, or try View > Show Filter Field and type in the new box that is added to filter your library by the search terms.

That said, you are probably right that Apple's search features are somewhat underwhelming.

That's not my Screen shot,

Right you are, apologies for the mix up. Your other thread Apple Music search leaves out results. - Apple Community makes it clearer that you're talking about search results within the iTunes Store. FWIW iTunes still exists for Windows users, Mac users who've not upgraded to Catalina, and the iTunes Store remains for all. It is perhaps a little premature to claim that "iTunes no longer exists". I also see the same results in the iTunes Store using iTunes on Windows as I do in Music on Catalina, i.e. 200 results with no option to view another page.

When I search for a song. Only some of the people that sing the song are returned not all. It will show artists from A-C or S-Z, But it will not show you any results in-between, like an artist with a name the begins with a D or begins with an R, will never be shown. Sorting the list by Artist can show the first page or last page depending on sort direction, but no way to look at the next page or previous page. The term see all, means the first full page and that's all... Apple Music, non-functional. Want to find a list of Artists that have sung a song, songs that have been sung by many artists, avoid Apple Music, it just doesn't work. It mentions less relevant items are not displayed, less relevant means Artist names which happen to be in the middle of the alphabet and not the end or beginning. Apple execs: "the search function doesn't work, so let's add a statement that makes the user think it's their fault." I am so glad I don't pay for the Music service or TV service from Apple. If I see to many more ads for the stuff, all the Apple crap is going in the trash. Let's come out with a crappy service and force it on the people that buy our products. Just like IBM, DEC, Microsoft, Apple will fall victim to its own paradigm.

That's not my Screen shot, my problems are a little different than the original poster. My screen shot would show the iTunes store Tab Highlighted, same app though. I was searching for an Actual Song name. I wanted to see which artists sang the same song, it shows 100 results. The 100 most popular or the 100 least popular, etc. It should have the ability to scroll or go to the next page.....
