GoDaddy E-mail Does Not Work.
Using a Mac with Catalina, but same problem on iPhone or iPad. Apple's e-mail program can't verify the user account at Go Daddy when setting up the account as IMAP. I have several accounts there and they all work except for this one. I can log into the web-based e-mail, the password is correct, as are all settings.
Here is the solution from GoDaddy:
Log into your GoDaddy account and open My Products. If your Email Plan says Free, then you have POP-enabled email. If it doesn't, then you can use IMAP to set up your email.
So IMAP does not work with free GoDaddy email accounts, and they give you a few free accounts with every domain. You must use a POP connection with the free GoDaddy e-mail accounts.
Problem solved.
