iCloud account

Hello! I broke my iPhone 6 and I can't open it now, so my iCloud account is stuck there. I bought a new Apple iPhone 11 and I want to use my old account on it, but I'm worried that I won't acces my account. It would be right if I use my old iCloud account on my new phone, even if my account is opened on my broke phone? And if I can use it, how I can recover my photos and other things?

iPhone 6, iOS 12

Your account isn't "in" the phone, it is on Apple's corporate computers somewhere. Just sign into your account on the new phone and turn on iCloud features you were using before.
