How do I use genre in new music app (after Catalina update)?

I dislike the new Apple Music app because I want to view by genre. I have over 6,000 songs and do not want to create a playlist for a specific genre. Someone suggested "hover over file, then library, and select genre." There is no "genre" selection. There is no way to view my music by genre. I am using Catalina version 10.15.1 on a MacBook Pro, 2015.

I have to say I hate the music app and am looking for a music app that does NOT require me to be online.
