Why power key disconnect the call if not using headphone. When call is going through phone and on my ear, sometimes it automatically popup the display and unknowingly touch many things, thats the reason i suppose to lock the screen during the call but unfortunately it disconnect the ongoing call and there is not such settings to turn off this.

Thanks for prompt reply but there should have option to disable this who doesn’t want this feature like me. If mistakenly inspite of volume key if pressed the side button then that’s all done. If it’s business call then really tough time.
The power key, now known as the side button, has ended a call since the release of the original iPhone running iPhone OS 1.0

Since owning the iPhone 3G I have never unintentionally disconnected any call with that button.
