Apple Wallet “Edit Passes” is missing

I have an iPhone Xs. Suddenly the “edit passes” button at the bottom of the Wallet app is gone. It’s there on my wife’s Xs, but all that I get is the “+” button at the top, and my credit cards. Nothing else. I can’t add gift cards or various passes that I have before. Something is wrong with the app, and I have no idea what to do. Others have had this happen before with no solutions.
