HP Pavilion Wireless Keyboard and Mouse 800

Hi there!

I have just purchased a 'HP Pavilion Wireless Keyboard and Mouse 800' and was wanting to pair it up to my MacBook Pro 13-inch. However, on pairing the Keyboard and Mouse with my laptop, the mouse automatically pairs and the keyboard does not.

I have attempted many times to try and identify the keyboard to my MacBook, but nothing occurs (it asks to press the key immediately to the right of the left Shift key).

Is there any ways to come across this, or is this specific kehybaortd just not suitable for the MacBook?

Thanks,

L.

Hello Lukey H.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. I understand that you’re unable to connect the HP Pavilion wireless keyboard to your MacBook Pro, but you’re able to connect the HP Pavilion wireless mouse to it. I’m happy to help.

Please restart your Mac. Once your Mac has fully restarted, please try to connect the wireless keyboard using the steps here: Connect a Bluetooth device with your Mac - Apple Support

If the wireless keyboard still won’t connect, please try the steps here: Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac - Apple Support

Take care.
